Did you know that the church is like a big puzzle? Actually the Bible describes the church as "the body of Christ" - and each follower of Jesus is a part of the body - eyes, ears, hands, feet, liver - you get the picture. If any part is missing or not engaged or functioning, the body is disabled or not complete. Its just like a puzzle - when pieces are missing, the puzzle isn't complete and the picture isn't clear. My prayer is that the church would give a complete and compelling picture of Jesus to the world!

While we have been in the midst of bailouts and financial woes, we decided to borrow some of the biggest "buzz" phrases of the recent presidential campaign to inaugurate a brand new year with renewed hope and faith that God is big, life is sweet, and all things are possible!

This year, there are hundreds of churches around the world who are trying to reclaim the reality of Christmas. It has become about shopping, stress, and stuff, and we seem to have lost the revolutionary story and spirit of the season.
