Dirty Words | Obedience and Discipline
Some words make us uncomfortable. Obedience. Discipline. We tend to treat them like dirty words, but Scripture shows they are the very things that expose what it really costs to follow Jesus. This Sunday, Executive Pastor Mike kicked off our brand-new series, Dirty Words, with the claim: what we give up for Christ is small compared to what we gain. This series is based on Jesus’ invitation in Luke 9:23-24 “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.”
